Church of St. Charles Borromeo: The Church of St. Charles Borromeo is a historical landmark of Karlobag and an important place of worship. Perched on a hill, the baroque church offers not only a spiritual place but also an impressive panoramic view of the town and the sea.

Hiking in the Velebit Mountains: The town often serves as a starting point for adventures in the nearby Velebit Mountains. The Velebit Mountains are a paradise for nature lovers and hikers. Hiking trails lead through untouched nature, past deep gorges and impressive viewpoints. Also nearby is the Paklenica National Park, which is part of the Velebit Mountains and offers even more opportunities for outdoor activities.

Cube, Ura: Thanks to the proximity to the mountains, there are a lot of great viewing platforms, but this is probably the most unusual of them. From here you not only have a breathtaking view of the valley and the town of Karlobag, but you can also marvel at a stone cube engraved in stone. Unusual, but definitely worth a photo opportunity.

Karlobag Beaches

Karlobag is known for its picturesque coastline with small coves, beaches and crystal clear waters. Tatinja Beach: Tatinja Beach is one of Karlobag’s most popular beaches. It is characterized by fine pebbles that gently slope into the clear, azure waters. Surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and with views of the surrounding islands, this beach offers a relaxed atmosphere and is ideal for sunbathers and swimmers.

Karlobag Beach: Right in the city there is this wonderful beach, which is perfect for a quick visit to the cool water. There is plenty of space for all guests, both on the pebble beach and on the many concrete balconies all around. Of course, there is also a bar and a restaurant.

Zubovići Beach: Zubovići Beach on the nearby Pag peninsula is known for its flat rocks jutting into the crystal clear waters. The rocky coastline creates a unique backdrop, while the beach itself is covered with pebbles. Visitors can not only swim here, but also explore the underwater world by snorkeling. You will also find many other great beaches on the island, which we cannot even list them all.

Cesarica Beach: A little further north of Karlobag you will find this beach area. Cesarica Beach is known for its fine pebbles and calm waters. The bay is surrounded by an impressive rocky backdrop and Mediterranean vegetation. This beach is particularly family-friendly as the water is shallow and there are many opportunities for water games.

Plitvice Lakes National Park: Take a day trip to Plitvice Lakes National Park, about a two-hour drive from Karlobag.
