The charming little town of Omiš is located right at the mouth of the Cetina River, nestled between the metropolis of Split and the famous resort of Makarska in the heart of the Dalmatia region. Old town of Omiš: The winding streets of the old town of Omiš are full of charm and history. Here you will find well-preserved medieval buildings, cozy cafes, traditional restaurants and small shops. The old town invites you to stroll and explore. The remains of the old city walls, old stone houses and the “House of the Happy Man” are particularly worth seeing.

Cetina River: The Cetina River flows through the town of Omiš and offers not only a picturesque setting but also exciting outdoor activities such as rafting and kayaking. The canyon of the Cetina River is surrounded by impressive rocks and lush vegetation.

Excursion destination Radmanove Mlinice : Just outside of Omiš, about 6 kilometers away, in the middle of the Cetina Gorge, lies the popular excursion destination Radmanove Mlinice. Here, visitors can expect historic mills from the 17th and 18th centuries, a trout pond, a sundial and a good restaurant with culinary delicacies.

Statue of Mila Gojsalic: The viewpoint with the statue of Mila Gojsalic, created by Ivan Mestrovic in honor of the brave Mila Gojsalic from Polica, offers a breathtaking view of the Cetina valley and Omiš. The statue is located in the hinterland of Omiš, towards the village of Gata.

Mirabela Fortress: Mirabela Fortress stands high above the old town of Omiš and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the town, the mouth of the Cetina River and the surrounding countryside. The climb to the fortress is a bit steep, but the view from the top makes up for the effort. Mirabela Fortress, also called Peovica, rises on a steep cliff along the river. It was originally used to monitor the sea and warn of enemy ships. Today the fortress is a popular tourist destination.
